In order to get better understand of the electrostatic field, the software , named “ electrostatic fieldexperiments simulation softwareis calculated with finite difference method and design a user interface withMatlab App Designer. The software has description of five electrostatic fields which are “ coaxial cable"parallel wire electrode electric field", “ focusing electrodes" , “ wedge-stripe electrodes” and “ the parallelplate electrode". The software can provide measure the equipotential points ,description of equipotential lineand electrical potential lines and the simulations are completed with the software. The software can helpstudents to establish a more visual and intuitive understanding of electrostatic fields. Students can also comparethe experimental results with the simulation results provided by the software.
