Abstract
The spectrometer experiment holds significant educational value in college physics laboratorycourses, aiding students in deepening their understanding of optical theory and precision measurement. lproposes and explores a simplified method for upgrading traditional spectrometer apparatus using smartphoneand phone holder, specifically addressing the challenges of spectrometer calibration. By utilizing the levelindicator and camera grid features of smartphones, students are able to perform the initial leveling of the telescope and sample stage more intuitively and accurately.During fine adiustments and the measurement of theprism' s apex angle, the stability of the phone holder and the high-definition display of the smartphone cameraenable students to observe experimental phenomena in the telescopes eyepiece in realime. This approachsignificantly reduces the difficulty of experimental operations and minimizes visual fatigue. The proposedupgrade not only enhances the eficiency and quality of the experiment but also increases students’ interest and comprehension.Given its low cost and ease of implementation, this method has considerable potential for wide spread adoption.
