Innovation is the primary driving force for development．It is an effective strategy to improve the innovation ability and scientific research quality of undergraduate through carrying out opening experimental teaching guided by scientific research topics in experimental teaching in universities as well as the combination of research and teaching．Taking “photocatalytic properties of bismuth ferrate”as an example，students can study the basic preparation method and performance test analysis of bismuth ferrate photocatalysts during the opening experiment． The students’innovation consciousness，cooperation spirit and research ability were improved through this experiment．More importantly，it is beneficial to improve the opening experiment teaching of scientific research guidance and cultivate innovative talents．
