There are many interesting phenomena when the vector light field with spatially varying polarization states interacts with nonlinear matter. In the experiment,the vortex half-wave plate is used to convert the fundamental mode Gaussian light into a vector light field with spatial polarization state distribution,and then interact with the hot atomic medium by changing the frequency,power of the laser and the related properties of the hot atoms to observe the energy distribution of the vector light field after passing through the hot atoms,the experimental results show that these factors have an important influence on the interaction between the vector light field and the hot atoms. Our work may have certain reference significance in studying the teaching of college physics experiment.
