Abstract With the continuous development about Transformation of local universities and colleges， the new
ideas，new decisions and new measures for the development of transformation have been created， it provides
new opportunities for teachers’ professional growth and development． This paper mainly based on the
connotation characteristics， the development of teachers in local engineering colleges， demands of teaching
developing in transformation period，mainly from 5 aspects about changing the ideas of teaching development，
establishing teachers’development guarantee， seize focus and key of the development of teaching， projecting
the core of the teaching development， we further research and explore the strategies of teaching in local
engineering colleges under the background of the transition period， it is of great significance and role to
enhance the teaching ability and guarantee the quality of talent training．
