Abstract
Pipeline Engineering is the basic course and an important one among the courses for environmental engineering majors. The teaching and research is explored on the basis of the need of cultivating applied talents, which includes reasonable adjustment of the courses, combination of practice with theoretical teaching, diversification of teaching and assessment modes. In order to adapt to the requirements for training applied personnel, great importance has been attached to cultivating the students' practice and innovation ability with the purpose of stimulating the students′ interest in learning, unburdening the student s′ schoolwork and improving the quality of teaching.
