Abstract Based on the analysis of the universal problems in advanced mathematics education of science and technology and the trend of mathematical education teaching reform in domestic engineering universities, this paper gives a brief introduction to the essentials of mathematical quality. In addition, it expounds the urgency and necessity of strengthening mathematical quality education and cultivating the students' innovative ability. Finally, we make an exploratory research on strengthening the students' mathematical quality education in the universities of science and technology and cultivating the innovative application-oriented talents.
