Abstract Solid phase microextraction and gas chromatography were used to analyze the adsorption properties of sulfuric acid acidified activated carbon for hydroxyacetone of in phenol’ impurity. The results showed that the extraction time 10 min, extraction temperature 30℃ and resolution time 4 min were the best solid-phase microextraction conditions. Sulfuric acid acidified activated carbon has good adsorption ability to hydroxyacetone, and the best adsorption effect is when the adsorbent mass is 1.0g. Adsorption time was 3h, adsorption reached equilibrium, and the removal rate was 60%. The pseudo-second-order kinetic model can better describe the adsorption behavior of hydroxyacetone on sulfuric acid acidified activated carbon.
