Cosine gratings are widely applied in metrology，astronomy，integrated optics，optical communication，information processing and many other fields．According to Abbe imaging principle and Fourier analysis technology，cosine gratings with different spatial frequencies are designed by periodic ruled gratings．Cosine gratings with different contrast and spatial frequencies are obtained by adjusting the diffraction order and the zero-order intensity of the grating entering the imaging system．
